Pettivox is a magister in Wellmet. During the first book, he was well-respected enough for him to be nominated as the leader of the magisters.
Appearance[]
He has a long, white beard and wears long robes. He also carries his locus magicalicus on a golden chain around his neck.
He is very skilled in magic, and casts multiple advanced spells during his duel with Nevery.
Plot[]
He is the secondary antagonist in book one, and he creates a machine to capture all of the city's magic with Underlord Crowe. We see him demanding slowsilver early in the book, and later he duels with Nevery in the workroom where the machine is in.
He is also the master of Keeston, who he sends to spy on Nevery. Pettivox would be easily angered and would sometimes beat Keeston.
